The Chakras-the body has seven major chakras or energy fields, which are listed below giving location and colour:
7, Crown of head-violet/white.
6, Forehead-Indigo/dark blue.
5, Throat-Blue.
4, Heart-Green.
3, Solar Plexus-Yellow.
2, Sacral (Navel)-Orange.
1, Base of Spine-Red.
RELAX-RELEASE-RENEW
By taking a few moments each day to relax our body and release the mind of tension, it is possible to maintain a better balance within the seven energy fields. A few moments in which to renew and strengthen the chakras can help to reduce the constant drain of physical and mental energy, from which most people seem to suffer due to the stress in daily life.
Whether you choose to sit upright in a chair or lie down is not important, it is a matter of finding your own way to be most relaxed.
Now begin.......with a slow deep breath and become aware of your FEET, wriggle your toes, breath out slowly. Continue to take SLOW EVEN breaths as you tense and relax your feet, then to the ankle-tense relax-continue in this way breathing slowly in and out.
Move your attention up into your legs, TENSE AND RELAX. Continue giving attention to THIGHS, HIPS, ABDOMEN. Remember to include your HANDS, ARMS, SHOULDERS before passing into the lungs area.
This is a good time to check the calming effect flowing through your body, as the constant slow and steady breathing relaxes you into a state of well-being.
Now you give attention to the throat and neck area and into the jaws, open and close your mouth as wide as a yawn, wiggle the tongue.
Forehead-TENSE INTO A FROWN and release, continue slow even breathing. Do not be concerned if you do not achieve complete relaxation when you first begin, it does take practice, but it IS worth it, YOU are worth it!
Once you are relaxed you can begin to go through the chakras, BEGIN with Chakra 1- Red base of the spine, the physical energy chakra. Use the same process as before, but now you will give your attention to each individual chakra from 1 to 7. Affirming each colour to the appropriate chakra for energy balance. RED to CHAKRA 1, ORANGE to CHAKRA 2 and so forth.
A word about CHAKRA 3, the emotional centre, many people suffer from energy drains in this area. Mothers with a demanding family, those who work as carers, others who work where great demands are made on them during the course of a working day. It is imperative to give extra attention to this area, should this resonate with you. A mixture of ORANGE and YELLOW will help you.
When you reach CHAKRA 7 the colour violet to white you will have completed the exercise.
It will benefit you to become familiar with the Chakras and their corresponding colours before you begin to make the exercise a daily habit, this will enable you to relax more quickly and add to your sense of well-being.
It will become as easy as breathing, and if you still have doubts about your ability to do this, remember you breath all the time without thinking about it!
Emotions are a natural, essential part of our human experience through their natural expression. Unfortunately, throughout our lives we have situations where experience teaches us to avoid the natural expression of our feelings through embarrassment, humiliation, fear and guilt, which then prevents us from becoming healthy, balanced individuals.
Once we recognise that over the years we have felt unable to freely let go of the resentment which we have held onto for so long, all the anger, frustration and grief, over the injustices and loss, we become aware of our deep inner need to LET GO of all the internal blocks which have been made in order to hide the pain. Inevitably these blocks lead to discord within the mind body and spirit which manifest as the many and various diseases. So why not start to release, renew and relive? To work with the exercises choose a time when you will not be disturbed. Make yourself as comfortable as possible, you may lie or sit, it is your choice. Many people become concerned that if they are unable to visualise they will not be able to work with the exercises. Please remember thoughts ARE things. The thoughts IS the DEED DONE. Believe it!
You are now ready to begin: Imagine that you are the owner of a beautiful golden bow and arrow. You know that you may use it to help release unwanted negative thoughts and emotions. You decide which thoughts/emotions you wish to release right now, shape them into a ball and fix the ball onto the tip of the arrow. Now you fire the arrow off into space as far as your eye can see. Then watch as the ball explodes into a cascade of stars gently falling to earth. In this way ALL negative aspects are desytroyed. Repeat this exercise as often as you feel the need. Take time out each day to be YOU. Release and renew!
Keep the same candle each time, for this exercise. A white candle is the one used for this but if you feel drawn to choose another feel free! Once again feeling as relaxed as possible, light the candle and send ALL unwanted thoughts/emotions into the flame and know that they have been destroyed by the flame and turned into light. Just as with the former exercise you may repeat this until you feel completely freed. Never leave the candle to burn after this exercise, make sure it is out and give it your blessing. Wishing you a light mind, light heart, a healthy body with a light spirit.

For any of these exercises, once you decide to use them it is advisable to work with them each day for the most benefit. Try also to make it the same time each day. Your higher self will then become aware of your intention to change and you will be and feel more supported spiritually because of your dedication. It is important to remember that as with any other work of this nature one must always use a closing down procedure. One popular way is to wrap a beautiful golden cloak around you, this is for your protection. Should you still feel a little light headed or vulnerable-pull your tummy muscles in tightly and imagine an orange cover across your middle, as this is an area where the energy can leak very easily. Quite often when we feel 'drained' it is because we have been 'open' without realising it.

This exercise may be done simply while taking your daily shower. Image as you close your eyes that the water is all the colours of the rainbow. Your mind, body and spirit are now cleansed of all negativity. Just feel good and do your closing down routine. This exercise also works well in a meditation.
1. Any unwanted paper may be used for this. Simply write down all your angry feelings then tear the paper up with great relish! Now you may burn it (somewhere safely) or flush it down the loo! Repeat as often as necessary.
2. Keeping a pillow just for this purpose only. Take time to bash the pillow hard for every angry situation you wish to set yourself free from. Never use it for resting against even after blessing it for its use! Also keep it where no one else might use it. I wish you peace on ALL levels of your being.
